LGBTQ Resource Line



Mental Health America (formerly Mental Health Association) of Northern California has partnered with Sacramento City Unified School District to create and implement an LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Questioning) Resource Line. The resource line is a warm line, meaning that adolescents can call, leave a message, and have their phone call returned within 48 hours by a social worker with experience in providing services to LGBTQ students and their families. Services include information/referral, short-term counseling, and advocacy. All calls are confidential and all services are provided free of charge. The LGBTQ Resource Line number is: (916) 643-7997

Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA)
Student-run clubs that provide a safe place for LGBTQ students get support on campus. GSAs operate on the following campuses in Sacramento County: Burbank; Johnson; Kennedy; McClatchy; New Tech; Rosemont; The Met; and West Campus.
