The Sacramento Alcohol & Other Drugs Youth System of Care (YSOC) Collaborative began as the YSOC Planning Group in September, 2008, and was made possible through an award from the California Endowment to plan a comprehensive youth alcohol and drug services system of care. The Collaborative includes: county-contracted, insurance pay, and private pay alcohol & other drug (AOD) youth service providers; Sacramento County Human Services agenices; and other community partners. The purpose of the YSOC Collaborative is to expand upon Sacramento County Alcohol & Drug Services' existing youth system of care, to include non-county contracted service providers and other community partners, in order to identify and fill in gaps in services, suggest more effective and efficient treatment practices, and make AOD treatment more accessible to youth in our community.
